Employees are returning to offices! Thanks to the RTO directives, hybrid work has entered the world of different work arrangements. In particular, hybrid work arrangements are now standard for many employees and companies. Making hybrid work engaging and more productive is a new challenge many employers have yet to tackle.
However, it can be as simple as explaining and marketing the appeal of working hybrid – and why it’s part of their work culture. 1. In-Person Collaboration
Remote work has many merits, including being paramount to employees’ holistic health and well-being. However, some elements get lost in an environment. Tools like Zoho CRM and Zoho Workplace help enhance remote and hybrid work experiences. In addition, Microsoft has had experiences with lessened collaboration, which happens when employees choose remote work.
In a hybrid work environment, employees can see each other. They have space and time to have brainstorming sessions, team meetings and discussions – which are productive and save time. As a result, it helps build a strong company culture and improve productivity.
2. Continuous Learning
Some work opportunities are skills-based. A hybrid work environment gives employees more opportunities to practice and refine their skills. For those who work tirelessly for your company, it can help foster community. Some training courses offered in office premises are a great start!
3. Better Job Satisfaction
Job satisfaction and the nature of work have evolved since we experienced the pandemic. Many companies needed to be agile to remain productive, even at home and in a survey conducted by HiBob, 53 per cent of survey respondents reported being satisfied with their jobs, while 47 per cent have felt dissatisfaction with their work-life since the beginning of the pandemic. This insight indicates that companies have a lot more to go in the endeavour of improving job satisfaction. Thus, more flexibility at work can be a good solution, including allowances for working hybrid or fully remote.
4. Mental Health
Forward-thinking companies have acknowledged that their employees are people, leading them to prioritise their employees’ well-being and recognize that work is a significant source of stress for them. By providing flexible work options, these forward-thinking employers have helped facilitate and emphasize the importance of mental health within the workforce. The hybrid model of work allows people to adjust their work arrangements in accordance with their lifestyles.
There is no need to commute daily, meaning less expenses and more time in their day. This can mean a happier workforce, translating to talent retention and better job satisfaction!
5. Socializing
Being in a physical space with your team can add a more “human” touch to work. Some companies have a special Coworking Day dedicated to working together in a dedicated workspace or, if your company has more budget, an allocated office. Collaboration, conferencing and brainstorming will be easier. Furthermore, socialization can do a lot of good for one’s mental health; it can get lonely working from home.
6. Wrapping Up
Hybrid work has become more common due to the benefits it presents. Not only will you have more time for yourself, but you’ll also be able to collaborate effectively with your colleagues and get to know them better. Socialization and collaboration – these two benefits are the most prevalent reasons why work has gone hybrid from onsite; they’re perfect balances! After all, isn’t life all about balance?
